My lover doesn't understand the meaning of the word gentle. I ask for slow and he dives right in as if that is remotely pleasurable. There's a different between aggressive (which is totally hot and a great turn on) and rough (which makes me want to hop in my car and get as far away as possible!). He also doesn't know how to follow directions... but I'm supposed to help him get off after I've been rubbed raw.
