Remembering Costa Rica

I attempted to cook arroz con pollo last night. It didn't turn out that bad, honestly. It wasn't authentic, but definitely a good mock dish.

Then I tried to make platanos maduros. Mine never never never turn out. I watch all these videos and read all these recipes on how to make the dish, but mine always crisp up instead of caramelize. Bleh >:-(

I love platanos maduros and the only place I can find them is at Chinese buffets. Go figure...
